Privacy
The Interval app has no server. There is nothing for us to collect, and no account to attach it to.
Last updated 26 September 2026.
What stays on your device
Your dives, sites, buddies and notes are stored on your iPhone, iPad and Mac. Photographs are never copied: Interval keeps a reference to the item in your photo library and reads it when it needs to show it.
iCloud
With iCloud turned on, your logbook is stored in your own private iCloud and syncs between your devices. We cannot access it.
Your dive computer
Interval talks to your dive computer over Bluetooth to read what is stored on it. That conversation happens between the two devices in front of you and goes nowhere else.
What the Interval app does not do
No analytics or other telemetry. No crash reporting to third parties. No advertising identifiers. No tracking of any kind, and no third party SDKs in the app at all.
This also means we won’t automatically know if something goes wrong. If you have an issue with Interval, please email interval@groskamp.net and tell us what happened so we can help.
Exports
When you export your log it becomes a file in a location you chose. Where it goes after that is entirely up to you.
This website
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page views and website performance. These measurements are about visits to this website. The Interval app does not include analytics or any other telemetry.
Changes to this page
If any of the above ever changes, the change will be described here and in the App Store release notes for the version it lands in.
